First Use

Getting your DWF83PT nailer ready:

1. Initial lubrication
   
   Add a few drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet before first use, then daily during intensive use.
2. Connecting to the compressor
   
   Connect the air hose to the 1/4 inch inlet. Set the compressor pressure between 70 and 120 psi depending on the nail type used.
3. Loading the nails
   
   Insert a strip of 2 to 3-1/4 inch nails on 30° paper tape collation into the magazine until it clicks.
4. Choosing the firing mode
   
   Select sequential mode for precision or bump-fire mode for speed, depending on the task.

Regular Maintenance

To maximize your nailer's lifespan:

After each use:

• Disconnect the air hose before any maintenance or moving the tool
• Empty the magazine of remaining nails to avoid jams
• Wipe the tool down to remove dust and job site residue

Lubrication:

• Add 2-3 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet every day of intensive use
• Never use compressor oil or motor oil, only oil designed for pneumatic tools

Cleaning and Maintenance

Periodic maintenance:

1. Air filter
   
   Check and clean the air fitting filter regularly to prevent moisture and debris buildup.
2. Nailing mechanism
   
   Remove collation tape residue accumulated in the tool's nose after each large job.
3. Seals and screws
   
   Periodically check that external screws are tight, as they can loosen from repeated vibration.

Avoid: water, solvents, or compressed air to clean the internal mechanism.

• Always disconnect the air before clearing a jammed nail : accidental firing can occur if the tool remains under pressure.

Clean the tool, add a drop of pneumatic oil into the air inlet, and store it in a dry, dust-free place.

Winter storage in Canada:

Moisture in air lines can freeze and damage the mechanism. Use winter-grade pneumatic oil and purge the compressor before cold storage.
