First Use

Before your first use of the winch:

1. Fixed Installation
   
   Bolt the winch to a structure able to support the intended maximum load, never to a weak beam or support.
2. Electrical Check
   
   Plug into a grounded 110V outlet. Avoid undersized extension cords that can affect motor performance.
3. Cable Inspection
   
   Check that the cable is properly wound on the drum and the hook is in good condition before any lift.
4. No-load Test
   
   Run the up and down motion with no load using the control panel to check the brake works properly.

Regular Maintenance

To maximize the lifespan of your electric winch:

After each use:

• Coil the cable evenly on the drum, without crossing or twisting
• Unplug the power supply when the winch is not in use
• Wipe down the housing and control panel to clear dust and moisture

Cable and Hook:

• Inspect the cable regularly for fraying or broken strands
• Check that the hook and its safety latch work correctly

Cleaning and Maintenance

Periodic maintenance:

1. Lifting Cable
   
   Replace the cable at the first signs of wear, rust or damaged strands.
2. Braking System
   
   Periodically test the brake by lifting a light load and releasing the control mid-travel.
3. Mounting and Bolts
   
   Check that mounting bolts are tight, as they can loosen with repeated vibration.

Recommended products: dry cloth, light wire rope oil.

Avoid: water directly on the motor or control panel.

• Never exceed the rated capacity: stay within 825 lb single cable or 1650 lb double-cable setup.
• Never lift or move people: this tool is designed exclusively for lifting material loads.
• Unplug before any maintenance: prevents accidental motor startup.
• Check the mounting before each use: loose bolts can compromise lifting safety.
• Avoid use in rain or very humid environments: the motor and control panel are not waterproof.

Storage Tips

Short-term storage:

If the winch is portable, store it unplugged in a dry place between uses.

Long-term storage (1+ month):

Apply a thin coat of oil to the cable, unplug the power supply and cover the winch to protect it from dust.

Winter storage in Canada:

Moisture and condensation in an unheated garage can affect the motor and electric control panel. Prefer a heated space or protect the unit with a waterproof cover.

Warranty Exclusions

• Moisture Damage: water intrusion into the motor or control panel causing electrical failure.
• Maintenance Neglect: cable never inspected or lubricated.
