First Use

Preparation and activation of your AC200+ anchoring adhesive:

1. Control the cartridge temperature

Ensure the cartridge is stored between 5°C and 40°C before use. For installations in base temperatures between -10°C and -5°C, precondition the cartridge at a minimum of 10°C for 2 hours.

2. Install the mixing nozzle

Remove the protective cap from the cartridge. Screw a new static mixing nozzle firmly onto the tip of the dual cartridge. Always use a new nozzle for each work session.

3. Purge and prime the system

Insert the cartridge into the applicator gun. Squeeze the first two inches of adhesive onto a scrap surface to remove air and ensure thorough mixing. The adhesive should come out a uniform gray once properly mixed.

4. Check the hole preparation

Before injection, confirm that all holes are drilled to the correct diameter, cleaned with a wire brush, and blown out with an oil-free air pump. Clean holes are critical for maximum adhesion.

Regular Maintenance

To maximize the lifespan and performance of your cartridges:

After each use:

Immediately release the pressure on the gun after injection to stop the adhesive flow. Wipe any excess adhesive from the cartridge nozzle with a clean cloth. Leave the mixing nozzle installed on the cartridge to protect the residual adhesive from air and moisture until the next use.

Mixing nozzle management:

Always replace the mixing nozzle if the cartridge is left inactive for more than 30 minutes or between work sessions. A partially hardened nozzle compromises the mixing ratio and reduces anchoring performance. Always keep spare nozzles on the job site.

Storage between uses:

Store partially used cartridges upright in their original packaging. Maintain the storage temperature between 0°C and 35°C. Inspect the cartridge before reuse and replace it if there is visible hardening or separation of components.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning of application equipment:

Applicator gunAfter each use, disassemble and clean the pressure mechanism with a dry cloth. Remove any hardened adhesive residue from the cartridge holder. Lightly lubricate the piston threaded rod with light oil monthly.

Used mixing nozzlesDo not attempt to clean or reuse the nozzles. The acrylic adhesive hardens rapidly and cleaning is impossible. Dispose of used nozzles in your regular waste after they have fully hardened.

Auxiliary toolsClean the metal hole cleaning brushes with a degreasing solvent after use. Purge and dry the air pump to prevent concrete dust from accumulating in the mechanism.

Precautions for Use

For your safety and optimal performance:

Never exceed the installation temperature limits of -10°C to 40°C, as this directly affects the setting time and final strength of the anchor. Installations outside this range can lead to structural failure.

Never use the AC200+ cartridge with incompatible or damaged mixing nozzles. Improper mixing of the components results in uncured adhesive and anchors that do not meet certified load ratings.

Never install in frozen, frosted, or exposed concrete, as adhesion will be severely compromised. If necessary, warm the anchoring area above -5°C before installation.

Never exceed the expiry date indicated on the cartridge. Expired adhesive may exhibit component separation, abnormal viscosity, or unpredictable setting times, compromising structural integrity.

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and chemical-resistant gloves, when handling and injecting acrylic adhesive. Ensure adequate ventilation of the work area.

Storage Tips

Short-term storage (less than 3 months):

Store new and partially used cartridges upright in their original protective packaging. Maintain an ambient temperature between 5°C and 30°C for optimal lifespan. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, which can accelerate premature aging of the components.

Long-term storage (3 months and more):

Store in a temperate location between 0°C and 25°C with controlled relative humidity below 80%. Check the cartridge seals monthly for any visible separation of components. Use the oldest cartridges first, following the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle. Maximum shelf life is 18 months from the date of manufacture.

Winter storage in Quebec:

Never store cartridges in unheated vehicles or outdoor trailers during Quebec winters. Freezing the components will irreversibly damage their adhesive properties. If temporary cold storage is unavoidable, gradually warm the cartridges to room temperature for at least 12 hours before use, without ever using direct or accelerated heating.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does NOT cover:

Normal wear and expected lifespan: Gradual hardening of the product after the expiry date of 18 months, natural degradation during prolonged storage beyond recommendations or exposure to extreme conditions.

Damage due to improper installation: Defective anchors resulting from poorly cleaned holes, concrete below the minimum required strength of 2,500 PSI, insufficient anchoring depth or failure to respect setting time before loading.

Improper storage: Cartridges exposed to repeated freeze-thaw cycles, excessive heat above 35°C, prolonged exposure to direct UV rays or storage in a horizontal position causing component separation.

Extreme installation conditions: Installations in frozen concrete, base temperatures below -10°C or above 40°C, complete permanent immersion after installation or unapproved applications in untested materials.

Physical damage and contamination: Cartridges that are punctured, cracked, dropped from a height, contaminated by solvents or other chemicals, or reused mixing nozzles that compromise the ratio.

Product modification: Mixing with unapproved additives, dilution of components, or attempts at homemade reformulation of the system.
