The Milwaukee 6370-21 13-amp, 8-inch metal-cutting circular saw delivers faster, cleaner, more economical, and heat-free cutting. Forget the showers of chips and sparks that once posed an aerial threat on metal construction sites. The 6370 shears through metal, producing a virtually spark-free trail and crisp, burr- and burn-free edges that require no post-cut finishing. Cold-cutting debris, in the form of metal chips, is efficiently contained by a durable magnesium blade guard and channeled to the saw's integrated chip bin. Cold cutting also allows for material handling almost immediately after cutting, minimizing downtime. Powered by a robust 13-amp (1-3/4 HP max.) motor at 3,700 RPM and equipped with a full grid of ultra-sharp cermet teeth, the 6370 tackles tough cuts with ease. You can cut through sheet metal up to 10 inches thick and 2.5-inch steel plates, day or night. More extreme cuts, even up to 7.5 inches, are possible with proper operating techniques. Regardless of the cutting method, cold metal cutting delivers value. Internal testing indicates that our new metal-cutting blades last at least 25 times longer than a standard abrasive wheel. The specially formulated cermet tip metallurgy and tooth geometry ensure these exceptional blades cut faster, last longer, and are more impact-resistant, all at a significantly lower cost per cut ($0.20 vs. $0.60). To maintain precision, the new 6370 features built-in line-of-sight and blade entry point indicators, as well as a slot in the shoe for a parallel guide. It's also the first and only corded hacksaw to feature a lower guard retraction lever. Plunge cuts are fast and accurate with this promising new tool. The lever's placement allows the user to maintain a firm grip on the saw with both hands throughout the cut.
