First Use

1. Full initial charge

Before first use, charge each battery until the LED indicators are solid green (60 to 90 minutes depending on the charger). This step calibrates the cells and ensures full capacity from the start. Do not interrupt this initial charge, even if the battery appears to be partially charged.

2. Checking the LED indicators

Before installation, press the indicator button to check that all three LEDs light up (100% charge). If only one or two light up, continue charging. This check prevents starting with an incomplete battery.

3. First discharge cycle

Upon first use, discharge the battery to a significant drop in power, then fully recharge it. This complete cycle optimizes the accuracy of the indicators and future performance.

Regular Maintenance

❌Never short-circuit the terminals

❌Do not expose to water or excessive humidity

❌Never modify the battery

What Is Covered

The DeWalt and Polar Industrial Equipment limited warranty covers:
✅Manufacturing defects

Covers any problem arising from the manufacturing process (assembly, soldering, or defective BMS circuit). DeWalt will repair or replace any affected battery free of charge during the first 3 years.

✅Material defects

Includes defective materials (lithium-ion cells, cracked casing without impact damage, faulty contacts or LEDs). Spontaneous detachment of the shockproof base is also covered.

✅Abnormally reduced performance

If the capacity drops by more than 40% in less than 3 years (excluding excessive use), the battery will be evaluated and replaced if a defect is confirmed.

✅Covered electronic failures

Covers any problem with the BMS circuit (impossibility of charging, rapid discharge, overheating, faulty sensors or protections).

✅ What DeWalt will do:

• Free repairif technically possible and economically viable
• Replacement with a new or refurbished productof equivalent value if repair impossible

Warranty Exclusions

❌ The warranty does NOT cover:

❌Normal wear and tear and natural degradation

Gradual loss of capacity (up to 20% after 3 years), discoloration, light scratches, or contact wear due to repeated use. Weakening after more than 2000 cycles is considered normal.

❌Physical damage and impacts

Cracks, deformations or crushed casing after a fall or impact. Contacts bent or torn out due to forced insertion.

❌Misuse and negligence

Exposure to extreme temperatures, immersion, prolonged storage when discharged, opening of the case, non-DeWalt chargers or accidental short circuits.

❌extreme environmental conditions

Damage due to corrosive products, saline environments, excessive heat or humidity, or infiltration of dust and construction materials.

❌Excessive intensive commercial use

Usage exceeding the intended limits (continuous operation, more than 5 cycles per day, electrical overload). The warranty covers normal professional use only.

❌Consumable parts and accessories

Excludes labels, stickers, packaging or documentation. Only lithium-ion cells remain covered.
