First Use

Optimal preparation of your new DeWalt cordless snow blower:

1. Initial full charge of the batteriesBefore first use, charge both FlexVolt batteries until all three LED indicators are lit (fully charged). This initial charge calibrates the battery management system and maximizes battery life. Charging time: approximately 2 hours per battery with the included fast charger.

2. Handlebar assembly and visual inspection- Attach the upper handle by aligning the holes and tightening the 4 bolts provided with the included wrench. Check that all components (auger, turbine, chute) are free of any packaging material or obstructions. Test the manual rotation of the auger by turning it by hand (with the blower off).

3. Recommended preliminary adjustments- Adjust the height of the wear pads according to your surface: high position for smooth paved surfaces, low position for gravel or uneven surfaces. Orient the discharge chute in the desired direction and adjust the deflector to 45 degrees for the initial test.

4. No-load function testInstall a charged battery, start the snowblower, and let it run for 30 seconds without snow to check that the system is working properly. Listen for any unusual noises and test the speed controls. This initial break-in period lubricates the mechanical components.

Maintenance After Each Use

• Remove batteries before any manual unlocking or maintenance- If snow, ice, or debris blocks the auger, always switch off and remove the batteries before inserting the provided cleaning tool. Never place your hands directly into the chute.
• Avoid clearing snow from surfaces with hidden debris- Stones, branches, frozen newspapers, or other objects can damage the metal trough or be thrown dangerously. Mark permanent obstacles with visible stakes.
• Limit continuous use to 45 minutes per battery- Although the system allows for prolonged operation, allow the motor to cool for 10 minutes between batteries to avoid overheating in temperatures above -5°C.
• Do not use in conditions of reduced visibility without additional lighting.- Despite integrated LED headlights, severe storms reduce visibility. Wait for safer conditions or use additional lighting on the property.

Long-term storage (end of season - more than 2 months):

• Clean the blower thoroughly and let it dry for 24 hours before storing.
• Remove the batteries and store them separately at room temperature (15-25°C).

What Is Covered

Material defects- Defective or inferior quality materials used in the construction of the chassis, metal trough, turbine, handlebar, wheels or any other structural component of the blower.

Abnormal battery performance- FlexVolt batteries exhibiting abnormal capacity loss (more than 30% in the first year), charging problems, unexplained overheating or failure of the integrated battery management system.

Repair labor- Labor costs for repair or replacement of covered defective parts, performed by an authorized DeWalt service center during the warranty period.

What DeWalt will do:Depending on the assessment of the defect, DeWalt will proceed with free repair using new or refurbished parts, complete replacement of the defective unit with an equivalent or superior model, or a refund of the purchase price if repair is impossible.

Warranty Exclusions
