The 3M 5P71 particulate filter is NIOSH-approved for environments containing certain non-oily particles. Use with 3M 5000 Series respirators, 3M 6000 Series cartridges, the 3M 603 Filter Adapter, and the 3M 501 Filter Holder.
When properly fitted, the 3M 5P71 (07194) particulate filter is used with the appropriate cartridges for a variety of applications, including spray painting, lacquering, petrochemical and chemical manufacturing, pesticide spraying, and agriculture, for concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) with a half-face mask or 50 times the PEL with a full-face mask. Full-face masks must undergo quantitative fit testing to ensure a protection factor greater than 10 in negative pressure mode. Use adapter 603 if only particulate protection is required. Do not use in environments where there is an immediate danger to life or health (IDLH).

- Filtration efficiency of at least 95% against solid and liquid aerosols
- Compliant with the requirements of CSA standard Z94.4
- The filter is suitable for environments containing oil or not.
