The ER70S-6 wire contains high levels of manganese and silicon, giving it superior deoxidizing power, especially when rigorous cleaning procedures are not possible. This wire is designed to produce non-porous welds with exceptional radiographic quality and offers the highest post-weld tensile strength among carbon steel wires. Its high silicon content improves weld pool fluidity, resulting in a smoother weld bead and significantly reducing post-weld grinding. The ER70S-6 is particularly well-suited for applications where imperfect fits or rusty and oily plates may be used.
