Regular Maintenance

Labor and replacement

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does NOT cover:

Normal wear and tear

Gradual decrease in capacity resulting from regular use over several years. Lithium-ion batteries naturally lose 2-5% of their capacity per year of normal use.

Physical damage

Cracks, impacts, crushing, perforations, or any damage resulting from drops, blows, or mishandling. Overmolded bases damaged by repeated impacts are not covered.

Misuse or negligence

Use with incompatible tools, charging with non-DeWalt chargers, deliberate exposure to water or extreme conditions. Modification, opening, or attempted repair immediately voids the warranty.

Extreme conditions not met

Damage caused by charging or use outside the recommended temperature range of 4-40°C. Prolonged storage in freezing or overheated environments causes permanent cell degradation.

Repeated complete discharge

Damage resulting from frequent complete discharges below 10% or leaving discharged batteries for extended periods.

Accessories and cosmetic wear
