First Use

Before first use, follow these steps to prepare your hammer drill/driver:

1. Check the tool - Inspect the housing and QuickIN chuck before first use for any shipping damage.
2. Install the battery - Insert a charged 18V Bosch Professional or AMPShare battery into the compartment until it clicks.
3. Select the speed - Choose one of the 4 speeds based on the material and installed QuickIN accessory.
4. Set the torque - Adjust the electronic torque setting (15+1 positions) based on the screw or drilling type.

Regular Maintenance

Regular maintenance extends the drill's service life and keeps clamping precision consistent.

After each use:

• Wipe down the housing and chuck to remove dust and chips
• Remove the battery if the tool is unused for more than 15 minutes
• Store the tool in its L-BOXX 136 case

QuickIN chuck care:

• Clean the carbide jaws regularly to maintain clamping force
• Check for play in the accessory change mechanism

Cleaning and Maintenance

Recommended periodic maintenance:

1. Brushless motor cleaning - Remove dust from ventilation openings with low-pressure compressed air. No carbon brush replacement required.
2. Kickback protection check - Periodically test the automatic shutoff in case of sudden binding.
3. QuickIN chuck lubrication - Apply a thin layer of dry lubricant to the quick-change mechanism.

Safety Precautions

For your safety:

• Activating hammer mode on metal - Never activate hammer mode for drilling metal, it is reserved for masonry.
• Removing an accessory with the motor running - Wait for the chuck to come to a complete stop before changing a QuickIN accessory.
• Torque overload - Do not exceed the recommended torque setting for the screw used, or the screw head may be damaged.
• Unsecured telescopic handle - Make sure the telescopic handle is locked in place before two-handed drilling.

Storage Tips

Short-term storage:

• Store the tool in its L-BOXX case, battery removed if unused for more than a day

Long-term storage:

• Remove the battery and store the tool in a dry location between 0 and 25°C

Winter storage in Canada:

• Avoid leaving the tool and battery in an unheated vehicle, battery capacity drops below 0°C
