First Use

Activating your new Dewalt 20V 10Ah batteries:

1. Full initial charge:Before first use, place each battery on the compatible Dewalt charger until the LED indicator shows a full charge, approximately 2 hours with a 4A charger. This initial charge optimizes maximum capacity and calibrates the integrated electronic management system.

2. Checking the LED indicator:Press the status button on top of the battery to activate the 3-level indicator. Three lit LEDs confirm full charge and battery ready for use.

3. Installation on tool:Align the battery with the rail of your Dewalt 20V MAX tool and slide it firmly until you hear a click. Pull slightly to confirm it is securely engaged before use.

4. Functionality test:Perform a quick test of the tool to verify proper connection and optimal power before starting your project.

Regular Maintenance

To maximize the lifespan of your Dewalt battery set:

After each use:

• Remove the battery from the tool and wipe the metal contacts with a dry cloth to remove dust and residue.

Load management:

What Is Covered

The Dewalt limited warranty covers:

Manufacturing defects:Any manufacturing defect affecting normal battery performance, including faulty soldering, incorrect component assembly, or premature lithium-ion cell failure. Full coverage for 3 years.

Material defects:Defective or non-compliant materials, including prematurely cracked casing, abnormally corroded electrical contacts, or a faulty LED indicator, will be replaced or repaired at Dewalt's discretion.

Abnormal performance:Capacity significantly lower than advertised specifications (less than 80% after 1 year of normal use), excessive charge loss during proper storage, or inability to charge with a certified Dewalt charger.

Workforce :All labor costs for repair or replacement are covered during the warranty period for acknowledged defects.

What Dewalt will do:Free repair of the defective product with new or refurbished parts. Replacement with an equivalent new or refurbished unit if repair is impossible or uneconomical. Refund of the purchase price if a replacement is unavailable (rare).

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does NOT cover:

❌Normal wear and tear:Gradual decrease in capacity after 2000+ charge/discharge cycles, wear on electrical contacts from repeated use, casing discoloration from prolonged sun exposure. Natural process in lithium-ion batteries.

❌Accidental physical damage:Damage from significant drops (over 3 meters), crushing by heavy objects, casing perforation, immersion in water or other liquids. Even with shock protection, extreme impacts are not covered.

❌Misuse:Use with non-Dewalt chargers, attempted disassembly or modification, intentional exposure to extreme temperatures (below -20°C or above +60°C), intentional short-circuiting of contacts.

❌Extreme environmental conditions:Damage due to conditions beyond specified limits including prolonged freezing below -20°C, excessive heat above +60°C, extreme humidity with condensation, exposure to corrosive chemicals.

❌Neglect of maintenance:Prolonged storage completely discharged causing irreversible deep discharge, lack of maintenance of electrical contacts causing excessive corrosion, failure to comply with storage instructions causing accelerated degradation.

❌Intensive commercial use:Frequent commercial rental, 24/7 industrial use exceeding planned cycles, out-of-specification applications (non-Dewalt tools requiring excessive current).
