For extended storage of more than one month, keep the battery at a charge level of approximately 40 to 60% rather than fully charged or completely discharged. Storing the battery fully charged or completely discharged can reduce its overall lifespan and maximum capacity.

Use the original packaging or a protective case to avoid accidental contact of the electrical terminals with metallic objects such as keys, coins or tools that could cause a dangerous short circuit.
