Made from 12.7 mm wide, fine-grain C1095 high-carbon spring steel. The material is precision ground and polished. The steel feeler gauge is used in most general maintenance and tooling applications. The thickness is clearly marked every 15.2 mm (in metric and decimal units). It measures 12.7 mm wide by 12.7 mm long.
