First Use

Before first use, follow these steps to set up your tool correctly.

1. Install a compatible 20V MAX battery : slide the battery into the base until it clicks, battery sold separately.
2. Check the chuck : make sure the metal 1/2 in. chuck is tightened firmly around the bit or driver tip before starting.
3. Set speed and clutch : select one of the 2 speed settings and adjust among the 15 clutch positions based on the material.
4. Test the LED : squeeze the trigger lightly to confirm the 3-position LED lights up the work area.
