This kit gives you everything needed to work without interruption right out of the box. The blower, two full-capacity batteries, and a dual-port charger are all included.

First Use

Before first use, fully charge both BL1850B batteries using the included DC18RD charger.

1. Initial charge: insert both batteries into the DC18RD charger. Red light = charging, green light = fully charged.
2. Nozzle assembly: attach the front nozzle or extended nozzle depending on the task.
3. Battery installation: insert both batteries into their slots. A click confirms correct installation.
4. No-load test: start at speed setting 1 to verify proper operation before moving to higher speeds.

Regular Maintenance

After each use:

• Remove batteries before any cleaning or storage.
• Clean nozzles and motor vents with compressed air or a soft brush.
• Wipe the blower body with a dry cloth.
• Check that motor vents are not blocked.

Battery management:

• Do not fully discharge batteries. Recharge when the LED indicator signals low charge.
• Recharge after each use to maintain optimal long-term capacity.

Safety Precautions

For your safety:

• Hearing protection: wear ear protection during extended use (79.1 dB(A)).
• Eye protection: wear safety glasses when blowing debris or dust.
• Wet areas: do not use in rain. This tool is not designed to handle liquids.

Storage Guidelines

Short-term storage:

Winter storage in Canada:

• Store Li-ion batteries indoors between 50°F and 68°F (10°C to 20°C). Extreme cold temporarily reduces capacity.
• Never charge a frozen battery. Allow it to return to room temperature first.
• If stored in an unheated garage, bring batteries inside before use in very cold conditions.

What Is Covered

The Makita warranty covers manufacturing defects and material issues under normal use conditions.

• Manufacturing defects: anomalies occurring during production, independent of use.
• Material defects: issues related to internal component quality (motor, circuits, switches).
• Premature failures: malfunctions occurring before the end of the product's normal service life.
• Parts and labor: Makita covers repair or replacement at no additional charge.

What Makita will do:

• Repair the product at no charge through the authorized service center network.
• Replace the product if repair is not feasible.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does NOT cover:
