First Use

Before welding for the first time, follow these 4 setup steps.

1. Select your voltage: 120V (standard outlet) or 230V with the included adapter. Check that your breaker matches the required amperage.
2. Install the wire spool: Load the SuperArc L-56 spool onto the wire feeder and install the matching drive roll.
3. Set up shielding gas (MIG welding): Connect the included regulator to your CO2 or argon/CO2 cylinder. Recommended flow: 15-25 cfh.
4. Adjust settings: Use the built-in parameter chart inside the machine panel to select voltage and wire speed based on metal thickness.

Regular Maintenance

After each use:

• Remove spatter from the gas nozzle with a wire brush
• Replace the contact tip if the opening is enlarged or irregular
• Cover the machine to protect it from dust and debris

Monthly maintenance:

• Blow out ventilation slots with compressed air (machine unplugged)
• Inspect the power cable for signs of wear or damage
• Check drive rolls - replace if the groove is worn or deformed

Safety Precautions

For your safety:

• Always wear a proper welding helmet - arc light causes severe eye burns
• Weld in a ventilated area - welding fumes are harmful to your health
• Do not use in rain or very damp environments - electric shock hazard
• Keep a fire extinguisher nearby - sparks can ignite combustible materials

Storage

Short-term storage:

• Dry location, temperature between -10C and 40C
• Use a protective cover to prevent dust buildup

Winter storage in Canada:

• Avoid storing below -10C for extended periods
• If exposed to cold, allow 30 minutes at room temperature before use
• Remove the wire spool when storing in damp environments to prevent rust

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does NOT cover:

• Consumable parts: Nozzle, contact tip, drive rolls - regular replacement items.
• Physical damage: Drops, impacts, or unauthorized modifications.
• Misuse: Exceeding the duty cycle or using an incompatible voltage.
• Moisture damage: Use or storage in excessively humid conditions.
