Markings on unpainted metal will bleed through primers and topcoats before the sealer is applied. Be sure to keep the tip saturated for proper penetration. IM-13, IM-14, and IM-15 should be used with oil-based primers. IM-63 should be used with water-based primers. To seal your markings and prevent bleed-through with IM-13, IM-14, and IM-15, you must apply a water-based or alcohol-based sealer. To prevent bleed-through with IM-63, you must use an oil-based sealer.
