First Use

Installation of your new Zep industrial soap dispenser:

1. Choose the location:

Select a solid wall near a sink or washing area. Ensure the height allows for comfortable use, generally between 110 and 130 cm from the floor.

2. Attach the distributor:

Mark the drilling holes using the template provided. Drill the holes, insert the wall plugs, and securely attach the dispenser with the screws provided.

3. Install the soap bottle:

Remove the cap from the Zep 1-gallon bottle. Insert the bottle into the dispenser's proprietary slot, aligning the grooves. Press firmly until the bottle clicks into place.

4. Adjust the dosage:

Turn the adjustment screw located on the pump mechanism to select one of the 4 positions. Test by operating the handle several times to check the dispensed quantity and adjust as needed.

Weekly Interview

To maximize the lifespan of your industrial soap dispenser:

After each week of use:

• Wipe the outside of the dispenser with a damp cloth to remove any splashes and residue.
• Check that the soap bottle is not empty to prevent air from being drawn into the mechanism
• Visually inspect the pump mechanism for any leaks or anomalies.

Pump mechanism management:

• Operate the pump 2 to 3 times dry each week to maintain the smooth operation of the mechanism
• If the pump becomes stiff, add a few drops of water to the piston to lubricate it.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Thorough monthly cleaning of the dispenser:

   Clean anodized aluminum with a mild detergent and a non-abrasive cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the finish. Dry thoroughly to prevent streaks.

2.Pump mechanism:

If dried soap is clogging the mechanism, disassemble the pump and soak it in hot water for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry before reinstalling.

3.Bottle notch area:

Use a soft brush to clean the inside of the bottle slot. Remove any dried soap residue that could prevent the bottles from fitting properly.

Recommended products: Mild detergent, warm water, microfiber cloths

Products to avoid: Abrasive cleaners, strong solvents, steel wool

Suggested frequency: Complete cleaning monthly or when the flow rate decreases

Precautions for Use

For your safety and optimal use:

• Overloading the mechanism: Do not apply excessive force to the pump handle. Normal pressure is sufficient to dispense the soap. Excessive force could damage the internal mechanism.
• Improper installation: Ensure the dispenser is mounted on a solid load-bearing wall capable of supporting its weight when filled (approximately 4 kg). Installation on weak drywall could cause it to detach.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures: Although robust, avoid installing the dispenser in areas exposed to prolonged freezing or excessive heat exceeding 50 degrees Celsius. These conditions could affect the viscosity of the soap.
• Use of incompatible soaps: Use only liquid soaps formulated for dispensers. Thick gel soaps or cleaners containing excessively large particles could clog the mechanism.
• Cleaning with corrosive products: Never clean the dispenser with strong solvents, acids or concentrated bases that could damage the anodized aluminum or the seals.

Storage Tips

Dispenser storage:

Optimal conditions:

• Store in a dry place at room temperature between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius
• Avoid direct sunlight, which could discolor the nylon body.
• If you need to store the dispenser, empty any remaining soap completely and clean the mechanism.
• Store in its original box or wrapped in protective material to prevent scratches

With proper storage, the dispenser retains its mechanical properties indefinitely. The aluminum and stainless steel construction does not deteriorate over time.

What Is Covered

The Zep and Polar Industrial Equipment limited warranty covers:

Manufacturing defects:

All defects resulting from errors during the manufacturing process, including faulty assembly, inadequate welding, or incorrectly installed components. This includes problems present upon receipt of the product.

Material defects:

Hidden defects in anodized aluminum, reinforced nylon, or stainless steel that affect performance. This includes premature corrosion, cracks in the materials, or abnormal discoloration not caused by use.

Pump mechanism malfunction:

Problems with the stainless steel pumping system that are not caused by normal wear and tear. Including pump blockage, leaking seals, or failure of the 4-position adjustment system.

What Zep will do:

• Repair of the faulty distributor with no labor charges
• Replacement with a new or refurbished unit if repair is impossible
• Refund of the purchase price if a replacement is not available

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does NOT cover:

Normal wear and tear:

Gradual deterioration resulting from normal, regular use, including superficial scratches, discoloration due to age, or loss of finish luster. Joints and flexible components that naturally wear after prolonged use.

Physical damage:

Cracks, breakage, or deformations caused by falls, impacts, or improper handling. Defective installation resulting in wall collapse or damage during transport if not claimed immediately.

Misuse:

Use of incompatible soaps, corrosive chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Excessive force on the pump mechanism or attempt to modify the dispenser.

Extreme environmental conditions:

Damage caused by prolonged freezing, excessive heat, or exposure to the elements if installed outdoors without protection. Corrosion due to aggressive chemical environments not intended for standard use.

Neglect of maintenance:

Blockage of the mechanism due to lack of regular cleaning. Deterioration caused by the accumulation of dried soap residue not cleaned for several months.

Unauthorized modifications or repairs:

Alterations to the distributor or repairs carried out by unqualified personnel. Use of non-original Zep parts.

Step 4: Return and processing

If a return is necessary, carefully pack the dispenser in its original box or equivalent protective packaging. Ship to the address provided with your authorization number. Claims processing typically takes 5 to 10 business days after receipt.
