The DW618 2 1/4 HP electronically variable speed, soft-start fixed-base router features a powerful motor for cutting tough hardwood at the desired speed. It features precise depth adjustment and quick, easy motor unit removal for tool and base changes.

• 2 1/4 HP (max. motor power), 12 Amp electronically variable speed motor provides the power to cut perfectly in the hardest woods.
• Electronic variable speed control with full kickback control provides constant speed under load from 8,000 to 24,000 rpm and soft start to reduce starting torque and improve controllability
• The ultra-precise depth adjustment ring allows adjustment in 1/64" increments and adjusts vertically to maintain constant switch-cord assembly location
• Tool-free adjustable steel motor lock for quick depth adjustment and base changes and secure locking
• Quick-release latches for quick and easy removal of the engine block for tool and base changes
• Detachable cord for easy maintenance and eliminating the need for a short corded power unit
